Description |
A very large number of 13th-15th century pottery fragments, now in Dumfries Museum, have been found at Redkirk Point (NY 302 651) as the tide erodes it. A fragment of fused-sand and lead silicate also found here possibly indicates kiln sites.

Comments |
SCAPE officers have visited site twice, and no cultural material has been visible. Site may have been eroded away. Difficult to identify site - intertidal shingle has many ceramic piecies but most of these seem to be from land drains and bricks possibly tipped as part of sea defence. |
